Thank you very much in your interest in this very special engagement. On Sunday, October 2nd, 2005, you are invited to a one-time event that will promises to leave your mind and musical sense stimulated. This special night is in celebration of photographer/director B+'s new documentary Brasil In Time: Batucada com Discos, a film that illustrates a natural musical marriage between the boom bap of hip-hop DJs and the percussive stylings of Brazilian drummers.

For this one night only, at Spirit Nightclub (530 W. 27th St.), witness DJs Madlib, J-Rocc, Cut Chemist and Nuts join forces with Brazilian drummers Paul Humphrey, Joao Parahyba and Derf Reklaw for a show that we can't even begin to describe. Rounding out the talent will be an opening set by Brazilian Beat Brooklyn and additional sounds by DJs Sean Marquand and Greg Caz. There will also be a 10-minute preview screening of Brasil In Time: Batucada com Discos for the attendees.
