Rare Form Promotions was formed as an equal partnership in January of 2002 by Tara Duvivier, Derreck Johnson, Eric Raphael and Kristy Wright in response to the following conditions:

• * Opportunities to cater to an undervalued and underserved demographic exist in NY party promotions.
  
  
• * Wanting to revive the positive aspects of NYC nightlife and create an escape from the daily grind by appealing to our target market's sense of nostalgia - in particular, the music, styles and positive feelings of their childhood and adolescence.
  
  
• * Having previous experience working in marketing, party promotions, DJ promotion/management, event planning and street teaming. Our combined knowledge, understanding and experience with New York nightlife and its trends have given us an opportunity to improve the overall performance and quality of New York parties and promotions, in turn, increasing profits for ourselves and our clients.

• * Tastes lean toward urban culture trends in music and fashion

• * Disposable income designated to nightlife, entertainment and retail
  
• * Reside primarily in NYC
• * Ethnically diverse crowd
• * Dissatisfied with the types of parties offered in NYC, looking for a high quality/high-energy atmosphere without the pretension associated with many NYC parties.
